Science Signaling is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that is published weekly by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The journal publishes perspectives, reviews, and protocols, that are original, and most of these are solicited by the editors. The peer review process and standards are applied as rigorously as the high standards employed by the journal Science. The editor-in-chief is Michael B. Yaffe (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).[1][2][3]
The main focus of the journal is original research articles describing major advancements in biological cell chemical signaling. In addition, the journal seeks to publish notable research in signaling networks, synthetic biology, systems biology, drug discovery, and computation and modeling of regulatory pathways.[2]
The journal was established in 1999 under the name of Science's STKE (ISSN 1525-8882). In January 2008, it obtained its current name and volume numbering restarted at 1. As Science's STKE the journal last issue was volume 2007, issue 417, on December 18, 2007.[2]
